High Pressure Phase Transformations Handbook 1-2 (1992) 3 (1996)

Vol 1-2

A comprehensive handbook comprising two volumes, High Pressure Phase Transformations classifies and systemizes data on phase transformations of 2,263 elements and compounds under high pressure (at least 0.1 GPa). Each compound has a separate paragraph and bibliography that includes information on the behavior of the material under normal pressure. A critical analysis is made of experimental data on melting, first- and second-order phase transitions, crystal stuctures and phase diagrams, and data on new materials and compounds synthesized under high pressure are presented and discussed.

Vol 3

This volume is a supplement to the two previously published volumes (High Pressure Phase Transformations: A Handbook, Vols. 1 and 2.) The handbooks classify and systematize data on phase transformations of elements and compounds under high pressure (at least 0.1 GPa). A separate section with a complete list of references is devoted to each compound. Information on the behavior of the material under normal pressure is included, together with a critical analysis of experimental data on melting, first- and second-order phase transitions, crystal structures, and phase diagrams. Information on atmospheric pressure is also presented, including the temperatures of phase transitions, concommitant enthalpy and volume changes, densities and crystallographic data of modifications. Among the updates included in this volume is the data for 354 new compounds not listed in the previous handbooks, as well as addenda for 230 entries from the earlier volumes.
